Foton AUV Provides 3,000 Buses for Beijing Taking 20% Inventory

Foton Motor signed with Beijing Public Transport and its subsidiary Bafangda for 3,012 AUV LNG city buses, hitting the largest bus order in China. And the average price for single bus model are for 1.2-1.3 million Yuan, and the buses will be delivered till April 2014.

Currently there are over 2,000 Foton AUV city buses serving Beijing public transport, and with the order, Foton AUV would have 20% market shares of Beijing city bus markets. And Foton AUV has become strategic partner of Beijing Public Transport Company.
Beijing government has decleared clear policy to use more new energy and clean energy vehicles in the future, and such vehicles will take 40% in Beijing. Foton AUV new energy buses are always first choice in China, and it is probable that most new energy city buses orders will go to Foton in the future. Foton AUV started to layout in telematics and auto financing which opens new imaging space for new energy bus industry.
Foton Motor has sold over 6,000 new energy vehicles since 2008, and 4,000 of which are pure electric auto.
The order will bring 1.57-1.72 billion Yuan to Foton Motor, which accounts for 4% of sales revenues of Foton.
