This is a key step for Los Angeles Green Bus Technology which will consume 30 million USD. Head of Los Angeles Bureau of Transport is quoted as saying that the project will encourage more China companies to come to Los Angeles and stimulate the economy and job markets.
BYD bus equipped with iron phosphate Lithium power battery can run for 155 miles (248 km) after full charge.
BYD set their first bus plant in Lancaster early May, and this is also the first China auto company to build plant in US, and it"s production capacity will reach 50-100 units in 2014.
