Two-time deferred Nation IV standard for diesel vehicles came into effect from July 1st. Without any documents reiterating this regulation, the new standard is executed in some cities, including Shanghai City.

One Yutong sales manager in Shanghai told the reporter that that many customers had hurried for the procurement by the end of June raised the sales of Nation III buses.

According to high-rankings of bus enterprises, the upgrade from Nation III to Nation IV is of no difficulty, technically. However, lacking the execution of unified standard in state level, bus manufacturers must offer models of different emission standards from Nation III to Nation V according to different markets, increasing the cost burden. Bus market may face a short-term fluctuation.

CAAM data shows that in May the output reached 40472 units, decreasing by 5.45% over last month and sales volume reached 41827 units, increasing by 2.67% over last month. The dropping of the output reflects the negative emotion of bus enterprises.
