New-energy buses have been widely used in lots of cities on account of features of being environmental friendly and producing low noise. It is learned from Shandong Finance Department that in 2013, Shandong province will encourage local state-owned public transit enterprises to purchase fuel-saving and new-energy buses by offering subsidy, which can amount to the highest 400,000 for each bus.
According to Shandong Finance Department, in 2013, Shandong will offer those purchasing vehicles in subsidy catalog of national fuel-saving and new-energy buses no more than 50,000 yuan. If the purchased vehicles are electric buses using nickel-metal hydride battery (NI-MH battery), lithium-ion battery and super-capacitor as accumulators which are over 10 meters out of the catalog, it will be given no more than 400,000 yuan as its subsidy for each bus. Additionally, Shandong will offer those purchasing natural gas buses no more than 50,000 yuan for each.
It is learned that in 2012, Shandong manufactured new-energy buses at the number of 141,000, in which new-energy bus increases 64.6%. By the end of 2012, new-energy buses in Shandong have been over 1,000. As planned, by the year of 2015, sales revenue of new-energy bus industry in Shandong will come to 100 billion yuan.
