In the first half of 2013, Zhongtong produced 5952 buses and sold 6008 buses with income of CNY 1.56 billion, increasing by 21.4% year on year. Particularly, the sales of 2067 buses worthy of CNY 0.434 billion set up a record.
Under the guidance of "Seeking for orders from key clients and gaining benefits from large orders", Zhongtong accelerated its market restructuring, consolidating traditional markets like Shandong, Heilongjiang and Jilin and expanding new markets like Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Tianjin, Liaoning, Henan, Heibei and Guangxi, etc.
Focusing on key overseas markets, Zhongtong secured the orders of 1300 buses worthy of CNY 0.42 billion, including 881 units for Saudi Arabia and 126 units for Morocco. The total export in the first half of 2013 reached 904 units worthy of CNY 0.27 billion.
Wise strategies fostered the development of new-energy buses, NG buses and school buses. In the first year of 2013, Zhongtong sold 926 new-energy buses, ranking No.2. In the first China City Bus Energy-saving Competition, Zhongtong LCK6105PHENV hybrid city buses won the team champion.
On July 6th, Zhongtong launched the first NG bus technology platform, meanwhile the 10000th Zhongtong NG buses rolled off production line.
In the first half of 2013, Zhongtong sold a total of 1279 school buses, which were well received at home and abroad.
