In late August 2013, Ankai Yangzhou base Electrophoresis production line was put into operation. Ankai took it into account from the beginning of Yangzhou base and started in 2012, the planning which reflected the attitude of the China bus brand.
It took over CNY 40 million to introduce Cathode Electrophoresis in Yangzhou Base, because first, objective conditions such as scale and productivity allow it; second, it shall improve the body manufacturing process; third it is suitable for the body of BEST Bus which is made mainly in Yangzhou Base. The application of the technology makes the bus more stable in high-temperature and high-salt regions.
“Specialization of the market and segment market is our goal and we must make full use of our advantages in segment market.” said General Manager Assistant of JAC Bus Company Wan Chunyang.
The planned annul output of Yangzhou Base is 6000 units and the number reached 3200 units in 2011 and over 3500 units in 2012. It’s said Cathode Electrophoresis is available if annual output reaches 3500 units and the cost may reduce if it reaches 5500 units.
As the adjustment of national traffic structure, the ever-changing emission regulations and intensifying competition and restructuring propel the scale development of bus industry. The integration of Ankai and JAC is the reasonable response to market competition.
