State Council to Conduct New-round Promotion of New Energy Vehicles

In 2013 International Forum (TEDA) on Chinese Automotive Industry Development, Science and Technology Minister Wang Gang said the State Council has approved the new round promotion program of new energy automobiles. The new program reflected the pure-electric drive transformation strategy, for the purpose of inspiring technologic innovation and local market promotion.

It"s said four central ministries and commissions are working on the implementation rules of the program, accelerating the delivery of the subsidies.

The new supportive policy focuses on new energy automobiles on the basis of pilot cities and changes the former way of fiscal subsidies.

New energy vehicles are different from traditional ones in structure, working principle and operation method, therefore the innovation of business mode becomes essential.

Expect for new supportive policies and innovative business mode, ancillary facilities become the bottleneck for the development of new energy vehicles. Minister Wang Gang pointed out that in the new round promotion of new energy vehicles, charging infrastructure and griding construction require more concentration.
