On September 15th, the final of “2013 National City Bus Divers Competition on Energy-saving Skills” was held in Tianjin City under the co-host of China Civil Engineering Society Public Transportation Association.
During the competition, the Association and Zhongtong co-hosted the seminar on energy saving of hybrid city buses. Zhongtong released its “2345” strategic planning, which was that Zhongtong would, from the two aspects of energy-saving and new energy buses, spend three years on the goal of taking 40% of the market shares and make the sales income of new energy buses equal with that of traditional buses, i.e. half and half. It’s said Zhongtong new energy buses are well received in Shandong, Henan, Hainan, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Fujian and Xinjiang, etc.
As the leading brand in energy-saving and new energy buses, Zhongtong started its R&D in NG buses from 2004 and established the first NG bus base in Urumqi. The company owns over 20 product platforms of 90 models, covering long-distance coaches, city buses, tourist buses and school buses, etc., and it even established the first “Zhongtong Green Bus” technology platform. Besides domestic markets, Zhongtong buses are exported to Southeast Asia, Middle East and South America, ranking No.1 in China bus industry.
