China Government: 30% Official Vehicles should be New Energy Vehicles

Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Technology, MIIT and the national development and reform commission declared new energy vehicle subsidy policy, and the new purchased official vehicles cannot be lower than 30%.

The vehicles include city buses, business vehicles, logistics and sanitation vehicles used for demonstration area, government offices, public area etc.
In the next two years, no less than 10000 new energy vehicles will be demonstrated for large cities and key areas, and no less than 5000 new energy vehicles will be used for other areas.
The subsidy for new energy vehicles will be up to half a million Yuan for each new energy vehicles. And in 2014 and 2015, subsidy for pure electric passenger cars, plug-in hybrid vehicles and pure electric vehicles will be down 10% and 20%.
