Sunwin Invests 1.5 billion RMB for New Energy Buses in Shouguang, Shandong Province

On Sept. 7, Shouguang city government and Shandong Taiqi Company signed with SAIC Sunwin Bus Company to set new energy bus development base in Shouguang.
On Sept. 7, Shouguang city government and Shandong Taiqi Company signed with SAIC Sunwin Bus Company to set new energy bus development base in Shouguang.
Sunwin is a joint venture by SAIC and Volvo Group, and they have rich experiences on developing and producing new energy buses and city buses. And the new production base is in Shouguang Dongcheng Industrial park, and the main products will be pure electric and hybrid city buses, and the length are from 12m, 10.5m, 8m and 7.2m, and they will invest 1.5 billion Yuan in three years, and their production capacity will amount to 5000 units in five years and the sales revenues will reach 6 billion Yuan.
New energy industry is one of the six pillar industry which central government will support, and the future for new energy industry will be rather prosperous, said Mr. Zhu lanxi, mayor of Shouguang city. He demands related departments to seize the oppurtunity to develop new energy auto industry. And all related department will cooperate with the project and build the first electric bus demonstration line soon.
