38,900 buses were sold in August, up 2.4% over last year, and 300,300 buses were sold from Jan to August, up 10.7% over last year.
Sales of large buses and medium buses were increasing in August, and 7704 large buses and 6966 medium buses were sold in August, up 22.6% and 14.9%. But sales of light buses decreased to 23300 units, down 12.2%. But 211,600 light buses were sold from Jan to August, up 16.7%.
The top ten bus builders on sales are Jinbei Shares, Yutong Bus, JMC Auto, Golden Dragon Bus, Nanjing Auto, King Long Bus, Higer Bus, Baic Foton, Dongfeng and Saic Commercial Vehicles.
7877 Jinbei buses were sold, down 12.3%, and sales of JMC decreased by 2.7%, and sales of Nanjing Auto, Foton AUV, and Dongfeng Motor decreased over 20%.
Yutong sold 5490 buses in August, up 24%, and sales of King Long, Higer and Golden Dragon Bus were increasing, and Golden Dragon Bus sold 2790 buses, up 61.6%, and this can be attributed the sales growth of their light buses, and they sold 1523 light buses in August, up 60%.
In the first eight months, the top ten bus builders are Jinbei Auto, JMC Auto, Yutong Bus, Nanjing Auto, Foton AUV, King Long, Higer, Golden Dragon Bus, Saic Commercial Vehicles and Dongfeng. All auto makers saw sales growth except Nanjing Auto. Sales of Jinbei Auto and JMC Auto sales grows 11.4% and 18.8%.
