Considerate Hangzhou Public Transport
The first obstacle for sustainable double deck bus is passenger source. Hence, Hangzhou Public Transport adjusted the original Y9 route. The new double deck bus route remains the name of Y9 Route running between Huanglong travel center and zoo, which is charged as 5 Yuan covering 25km of 22 stations. The single operation time is about 60m. During this one-hour range, over 30 scenic spots of West Lake are linked, including downtown commercial trading center, cultural center, leisure center and developed public transport and subways. Extreme convenience is provided for citizens for going out.
As for choice of vehicle, Hangzhou Public Transport is more considerate. New double deck bus is the 12m environmental friendly bus of Foton AUV. Equipped with air conditioner, Euro V imported hydraulic natural gas engine, it is of no pollution.
Compared with the old one, new double deck bus is shorted over 20cm. It decreases to 3.98m from 4.2m. However, the comfort while sitting increases. This is because of one-stair low entrance and increased air suspension ( which is equal to damping floor of subway). The double decks of the bus are respectively 1.72m and 1.8m.
