Li Jiang, deputy director of Higer Technology Center, recently said that 843 new-energy Higer buses had been sold in the first half of 2013. About 1,600 new-energy buses have been sold accumulatively.
On Dec. 10th of 2013, our reporter attended the 1st China Bus Summit Forum which was held in Beijing. Li Jiang stated at the forum that the effect of energy conservation and emission reduction by Higer hybrid bus was obvious. Fuel consumption per 100km consumed by petrol-electric hybrid bus is 19L and natural gas per 100km consumed by gas-electric hybrid bus is 25 cubic meters.
Some marketing official of Higer told us that Higer Bus had restarted selling new-energy buses since another new-energy vehicle subsidy standard and pilot city list went public.
Developing new-energy bus needs the breakthrough in weight reduction of the body. Li Jiang said that all-bearing body structure of Higer bus would be lighter 600kg to 700kg than half-bearing one. At present, body of China bus is 8% heavier than Euro bus. However, weight gap between China and Euro bus would shrink 1% in the future with continuous endeavor of domestic auto manufacturers.
Higer, King Long and Golden Dragon are all subordinate companies of Xiamen King Long Motor Group.
