Asiastar established a cooperation with Weichai for a developing strength. On Oct. 10th of 2013, Weichai Asiasatr Automotive Industrial Park completed its construction and into operation, with a total investment of 2.34 billion Yuan, 1,000Mu and 320,000-square-meter building. As an important part of Shandong Heavy Industry and Weichai Power Yangtze River Delta Strategy, Asiastar Bus would completely take advantage of its order quantity increasing 40%-50% year on year.
The Best Performance in 8 Years
On Jan.16th of 2014, Weichai Asiastar announced that 37 buses of Wertstar YBL6898H and BRT series were exported to Africa and Australia respectively, which is the first export of Asiastar Bus Wertstar Series after strategic conference. Jin Changshan, president of Weichai Asiastar, said, “Weichai Asiastar after reconstructing, completely turned over the traditional impression in the customers’ mind.”
Since strategic conference, Weichai Asiastar was officially on the new track. Still on the production line, new vehicles have already been ordered. Jin Changshan said proudly, “In just the fourth quarter of 2013, Weichai Asiastar increased 1,900 orders. It is the best performance in 8 years.”
By now, 23 new vehicle models of Asiastar Wertstar Series would bring more new products. On platform of Weichai Asiastar, bus, commercial special vehicle and school bus are all there apart from passenger car.
In addition, Jin Changshan said out of confidence, “By 2018, Yangzhou Diesel would become international advanced light diesel engine developing company. Asiastar would become a bus developing, manufacturing and production base with great influence. Shengda Special Vehicle would become an important part within domestic mining machinery and sanitary vehicle. Asiastar commercial vehicle would form its significant influence in domestic multifunctional commercial vehicle field.”
