On Jan.25th of 2014, Leung Chun Ying, Hong Kong’s Chief Executive, visited King Long with Hong Kong economic and trade delegation, Zheng Xiaosong, Vice Governor of Fujian Province and Kang Tao, deputy mayor of Xiamen. Gu Tao, President of King Long, and Guo Renxiang, GM of King Long showed their warm welcome during their visit.

After arrival of Leung Chun Ying, both partner attended communication conference. On this conference, Gu Tao, President of King Long, gave an introduction about present achievements King Long made in overseas market for these recent years and showed the cooperation willingness to provide public transportation service in HK with their product, especially their new-energy vehicles. As Gu Tao said, King Long is China bus leading brand as well as a global major bus brand. Since 2000, King Long has already provided its service in over 100 countries and regions. In 2013, annual revenue is 9.1 billion Yuan, in which overseas marketing revenue is more than 2 billion Yuan as a new record. Hong Kong is always an important market that King Long pays much attention. The cooperation has lasted for more than ten years. Double-decker buses and other travel coaches manufactured by King Long have been in service for years and got good public praise. Gu Tao said that Hong Kong had the best public transportation system of security, reliability, efficiency and environmental protection, where green outing was promoted. In recent years, King Long achieved many breakthroughs in new-energy bus and owns a batch of advanced core technology with independent R&D.

Chen Xiaobing, director of King Long Technology Center, continued to make a detailed introduction about bus and innovative technology in new-energy bus field. Then, Leung Chun Ying and his group took the King Long pure electric business bus for the visit in assembly workshop.
Despite that Spring Festival is around the corner, King Long assembly workshop is still busy. Gu Tao introduced the new product research and development, manufacturing, operation and exploration in overseas market to Leung Chun Ying. Especially, he made a detailed introduction about the new vehicle launched by King Long in 2014. Leung Chun Ying took a close look at this new bus with LCD in sides and gave highly praise of it. After visit, Leung Chun Ying sincerely said he hoped new-energy products of King Long would expand Fujian and Hong Kong much more involved in the cooperation based on good history.
Leung Chun Ying and Hong Kong Delegation Visit King Long Assembly Workshop
To further economic and trade cooperation between Fujian and Hong Kong, Leung Chun Ying, Hong Kong’s Chief Executive, and delegation visited Fujian from Jan.23rd to 25th. King Long is one of the two enterprises they visit after their arrival in Xiamen, which shows the great importance of King Long in Fujian industrial enterprises. By virtue of this opportunity, King Long hopes to participate much more in Hong Kong urban transportation construction and shows its brand quality through Hong Kong.
