According to Tianjin 2014 Transportation Conference, technological level of transportation industry would be improved, information and smart development would be promoted and Beidou navigation system, road and trail transportation would be enhanced. In 2014, 15,000 taxis would be equipped with GPS on-board terminal equipments and more than 70% urban passenger transportation vehicle would be intelligent managed. Urban transit electric board on bus stations would be built.

Tianjin would enhance its green cycling low-carbon transportation system building and the promotion of clear-energy automobiles. In 2014, Tianjin plans to purchase 600 pure electric buses and 1,000 LNG buses, which are all of National IV remission standard.
