PAZ Buses with Cummins Engines Serve the Sochi Winter Olympic Games

The 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games ( the 22nd Winter Olympic Games), was held in the Sochi of Russian Federation from 2014 February 7 to February 23. This is the first Winter Olympic held in Russia in history.

Russia"s largest bus manufacturer PAZ specially introduced a new bus called Vector, equipped with Foton Cummins 3.8L Euro IV ISF engine, for the Sochi Winter Olympic Games. This is the first time for PAZ to introduce buses equipped with Cummins engines in Sochi. This model is the latest one ever released by PAZ. Vector was one of the only two bus service providers selected for the Sochi Olympic Winter Games, to provide professional and efficient ground transportation services for the athletes and coaches.

According to driver Sasha Vladimir, Cummins ISF 3.8L engine is powerful, quiet, and reliable. It is capable of ensuring Vector’s excellent performance in the low temperature condition in Sochi and provides the most comfortable and convenient service for all athletes. He says he is very happy and proud to contribute to the Winter Olympics driving buses equipped with Cummins engines.


Foton Cummins started its cooperation with PAZ in 2010, mainly providing engines for PAZ-3204 medium-sized buses and the latest Vector buses, for city and inter-city public transport. From 2010 to this day, Foton Cummins has delivered more than 6500 ISF3.8L engines. Buses equipped with these world-class Cummins engines have been traveling extensively in the streets of various cities of Russia, and has gained praise from companies like PAZ as well as the drivers.
