Higer"s meeting for new energy bus users to exchange their thoughts or opinions took place in the beautiful city Sanya. Bus company leaders from Sanya, Haikou, Xi"an, Ningbo, Jiangmen, Foshan, Kunming, Shenzhen, Changsha, Beijing, Tianjin and Wuhu, came together to discuss how to improve the position of new energy buses in the public transport.
As one of the bus companies in this meeting, Suzhou City Bus Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as "Suzhou Bus"), spoke first on the detailed process of using new energy buses in Suzhou.
Suzhou Bus is a large public welfare state holding enterprise directly under the Suzhou Municipal Transportation Bureau. The company (including its subsidiaries) has 3132 operational vehicles and 232 operating line. New energy hybrid buses take up 230.
Higer plug-in new engergy bus
Ji Benqing, a department head of Suzhou Bus, introduced, "In early 2009, the Ministry of Science, Ministry of Finance, Development and Reform Commission, and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly launched the "1000 new energy buses in 10 cities" project, aiming to promote new energy vehicles and encourage enterprises to save energy and reduce emission. In May 2010, Suzhou was officially included into the second batch of pilot cities of the "1000 new energy buses in 10 cities" project."
"We were not very optimistic of new energy buses at first due to the high price and new technology. Besides, the diesel vehicles we bought before have good performance. But after the trial operation, drivers said that the operation was basically the same as diesel buses, and it saved a lot of fuel. So the company decided to promote the use of new energy buses in a wide range. "
From 13th January 2010 to 20th January 2012, Suzhou Bus put 118 new energy hybrid buses into service, 95 of which came from Higer.
In the recent two years, with the joint efforts of the Suzhou Bus and service personnel of Higer, Suzhou new energy buses are running in very good condition and has been highly recognized by company leaders, drivers and passengers.
