After rolling out its third generation nano carbon lithium-ion batteries, Zhejiang-based Youngman Automobile Group has recently secured a deal with Kowloon Bus in Hong Kong. As a globally high-profile transportation service provider, Kowloon Bus has always been well known for its high standards on the safety, comfortability, reliability, economy of vehicles. For this reason, the company only chose its vehicles from UK or other European countries in the past. The newly made deal represents a big step forward for Youngman and China"s bus & coach industry as well.
Signing Ceremony
Since 2011, Kowloon Bus has been considering the introduction of electric buses on the roads in HK. After a worldwide selection and one year"s trial operation, the company finally signs a purchase contract with Youngman with its nano carbon lithium-ion battery powered electric buses. Leung Chun-ying, the Chief Executive of HK SAR also speaks highly of Youngman"s successful bid and is hoping to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony when Youngman buses are officially put into operation.
Youngman electric bus put into trial operation in HK
Youngman electric buses adopt the third generation nano carbon lithium-ion batteries, which are independently developed by the coach manufacturer. As the core parts of electric buses, the batteries play a significant role in determining the smooth operation of buses. Boasting high economy, long durability and quick charging, Youngman green vehicles with such batteries have been operating smoothly on Bus Line 12 in Jinhua City since the end of 2013. Pang Qinnian, Youngman"s Chairman of the Board, points out that the company attaches significant importance on the safe operation of its electric buses. He reveals that compared with the traditional diesel powered buses, the company"s electric buses realize higher economy in the long run, helping bus operators cut their costs. In an effort to further popluarize the green vehicles, Youngman also provides its buyers with banking supports if necessary.
