On May 5, Howo JK6129GBEV plug-in electric bus independently developed by Sinotruk Howo Bus Company officially rolled off the production line. Equipped with double coupling, it is solely powered by electricity. Its circuit network has realized seamless connectionand with its batteries. Technologies like air-conditioning intelligence control now take the lead in the field.

Compared with trolley buses and other types of new energy buses, plug-in electric buses boast their own advantages. After switching off power line, the green vehicle can be solely operated by batteries. Through the vehicle controller, it can realize seamless switch from power lines to power batteries. While operating under power lines, it can get recharged. On road sections without power lines, the bus automatically switches on its battery cell. Thus, the vehicle boasts higher flexibility. Using high-power lithium-ion batteries, the bus is capable of running about 50 km without power line. Without emitting any pollutants, the vehicle truly deserves the green bus title.

With standardized and systematic module design, the vehicle also boasts high reliability, high economy and high environmental friendliness. After an optimization of its power, weight and safety, the bus does not create much noise or suffer from any dramatic disturbance while in operation. Moreover, it can be started in a more stable and quicker manner thanks to its direct self-control(DSC) of asynchronous motor and continuously variable transmission (CVT). Equipped with advanced CAN controlling system, it can obtain real-time data feedbacks from its motor, batteries, electric controller, meters and auxiliary recharging system. Thus, the whole vehicle"s operation is closely monitored and any technical glitches can be detected far in advance.
