According to the engine maker, Dongfeng Cummins, its 13L engines are to be exported to UK soon. To commemorate the first batch brand new engine products coming off line, the company held a brief ceremony at its ISZ Assembly Workshop, attended by Dongfeng Cummins vice president Lu Zhuohua, QC director Liang Binyuan, Manufacturing director Wen Rongjian, CL department manager Zeng Jingfeng, and other relevant staff.
The first batch of twelve 13L special engines and the other sixteen engines expected to be offline at the end of May, are ordered by Cummins Power Generation UK. It represents a new milestone in the history of the company’s independent R&D and global expansion.
Since its establishment, Dongfeng Cummins Engine Co., Ltd. has always attached great importance to quality control. Since Mar. 2014, the company has been conducting regular quality assessment of its 13L PGBU engines, making statistical analysis of the previous parameters and comprehensive evaluation of a number of factors related to its products and production, such as its production capacity, quality control, the production capacity and quality management of its ISZ suppliers of crucial parts, its inventory management, forecast on self-made parts as well as assembly capacity (including deliverability and quality guarantee). In doing so, it successfully reduces risks involved to the minimum and lays a solid foundation for its business success.
