On May 30, the 11th Shandong Provincial Top Business Awarding Ceremony was held in Jinan. A number of provincial and municipal officials attended the event. Zhongtong Bus won the honorary title for claiming the biggest growing potential.
In recent years, Zhongtong Bus has put its priorities on developing new energy vehicles and expanding its overseas markets. At the awarding ceremony, the board of judges spoke highly of the achievements made by the bus maker. Pressed by the unfavorable macroeconomic conditions and the sluggish market, the company has been making every effort to cultivate new growing points and expanding its overseas market, setting a good example for all enterprises in Shandong which are experiencing a transitional period and seeking new business opportunities.
Since the end of 2013, a total number of five cities, including Qingdao, Linyi, Zibo, Liaocheng and Weifang, have been selected by the central government for the promotion of new energy vehicles. Such a measure taken by the government immediately makes Shandong the largest markets for green vehicles and thus provides huge business opportunities for Zhongtong Bus.
Along with its constant expansion in the overseas markets, Zhongtong Bus has already established well-connected global marketing and service networks. Saido Arabia, Moroco, Russia, and countries in South America are its major export destinations. Now, the bus maker is striving to make its overseas business as one of the pillars to support its sustainable developing, accounting for 25% of its total.
