On Jun. 7, Cummins and Beijing-based Foton held a signing ceremony to celebrate the two parties cooperation on Euro VI and LNG Clean Energy Innovation Project. Also at the ceremony, officials from two parties witnessed the Cummins ISG heavy engines rolling off production line and the official arrival of Auman GTL in the global market.
Cummins ISG Heavy Engines Rolling off Production Line
According to sources, Beijing Foton Cummins Engines Co., Ltd. was set up in 2008. Aiming at developing advanced clean energy power technologies and light-weight engines, the company has rolled out ISF 2.8-litre and 3.8-litre engines, which are used on Foton"s fist products like Aumark, Ollin, Pickup, etc. In 2013, the total sales volume of Cummins ISF light diesel engines passed 100,000 units mark. The official start-up of Cummins ISG heavy engines marks the beginning of the cooperation of Foton and Cummins on jointly developing Euro IV, Euro V emission standard engines. In the future, the company will focus on marketing its state-of-art heavy power engines which can meet Euro VI emission standards.
On the same day, Auman GTL ultra power engines went to market officially. The company also sign sales agreement with its major customers, including Columbia-based Kaper Beta Company and China Capital Logistics Co., Ltd.
It is also worth mentioning that since the new traffic law went into effect on Jun. 15, all government-funded municipal projects within the fifth ring roads and in Huairou Dist. must use new types of trucks. After Jul. 1st, the old-type of trucks used for construction will be fully banned in the capital. Thanks to the new policy, Foton Auman new type trucks for construction use are expected to enjoy great business potential. It is also revealed that 3,000 units of "green intelligent" Auman third generation trucks for construction use will be delivered to their customers in 2014, which are expected to play a significant role in better protecting the environment in the capital.
