Liaocheng in Shandong Province, also nicknamed as Venice in Nortern China, is listed in 2014 among other three cities, including Zibo, Linyi and Weifang, in the second batch of demostration cities nationwide for promoting new energy vehicles. In response, the city government is making strengthened efforts to introduce more green buses on the urban roads. In 2010, the city purchased 30 units of Zhongtong buses. Thus, it has set up close ties with the bus maker. This year, the city is eyeing on Zhongtong"s plug-in hybrid buses and has decided to purchase 100 units.
According to the bus maker, the brand new eco-friendly buses to be introduced are all LCK6106PHENV, one of the fist products of the company. So far, thanks to its high energy efficiency and competitive price, LCK6106PHENV has already been in smooth operation in a number of cities, such as Jining, Dongying, Heze and Puyang and received quite favorable feedbacks from its customers.
