In order to better transportation and improve services, four routes with a fleet of sixty buses will soon come into operation from Jul. 1 this year, according to the urban public transportation planning in Pizhou, Xuzhou city Jiangsu province. At present, the first batch of 18 buses has already arrived at Pizhou and the rest will be delivered in the near future. By then the eco-friendly buses will amount to 120 units, nearly half of all the running buses, ranking Pizhou among the few county-level cities with the largest number of green vehicles in China.

As the first batch, the new energy buses are provided by such well renowned bus manufacturers as Zhengzhou Yutong and Shanghai Sunlong. Being low-carbon and eco-friendly, the green buses could cover about 500 km after fully recharged with LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas). That will be enough for two-day operation with operating cost less than two thirds of the traditional diesel-powered buses. Apart from being economical and energy-saving, the bus also made significant progress in reducing air pollution and minimizing green house effect. While providing conveniences for the local residents and creating superb investment environment, the green bus fleet also contribute greatly to the environment protection and the low carbon economic development. Since its debut, the bus has been well received for its energy efficiency, reliability and comfortability.

The new buses will serve in bus routes 6, 7, 15, 19 and 50. According to the urban public transportation development planning in Pizhou, fuel powered buses will be gradually replaced in the future. All the future urban and suburban buses will adopt eco-friendly new energy or clean fuel to speed up the building-up of a green, low-carbon, eco-friendly public transportation system.
