According to statistics from Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the number of new energy buses produced in May was up by 98.32% against May last year, but China manufactured 539 plug-in commercial vehicles and 366 pure electric commercial vehicles, down by 4.26% and 29.21% against the same period last year respectively.
Wuzhoulong won two prizes for the new energy urban bus in 2014 Beijing International Road Transportation, Urban Public Transportation Buses and Spare Parts Exhibition hosted by Ministry of Transport.
The prize for the best environment protection product of science and technology went to its medium-sized pure electric bus FDG6801EVG2, which was fit for the urban main and branch lines with its long wheelbase and large passenger capacity. The prize for the best new energy bus went to its well-known legendary bus FDG6113EVG, which was widely used in numerous bus routes in China.
In addition, its 6-meter pure electric urban bus FDG6620EVG (light bus) also made its debut. With a strong power, it was specially developed for the branch lines in different sized cities in China. Its continuous driving capacity of over 300 km could hardly be matched among the vehicles of the similar type in China.
