On July 1, 2014, Wuhan Development Zone signed three new energy vehicle projects including power battery, complete vehicles and research and development. In addition to the current ongoing projects like Dongfeng, General Motors and BYD, the upstream and downstream industry chain of new energy vehicles are clustering in Wuhan at a remarkable speed.
The president of Nanjing Golden Dragon Bus Co., Ltd (referred to as NGD) Huang Hongsheng said, NGD will build electric bus manufacturing and research and development base in Hannan new Industrial Town, of which the combine production capacity of electric buses, tourism, light buses and logistics vehicles is expected to reach 100,000 units every year and for the annual sales is 10 billion yuan.
Along with the current ongoing projects like Dongfeng, General Motors and BYD, Wuhan"s new energy vehicle cluster is expanding to hundreds of billions units.
