SAIC Ranks 85th in "Fortune 500" 2014

On July 7, American Fortune magazine announced the "2014 World 500 Enterprises". SAIC with a sales income of 92 billion U.S. dollars ranked No. 85 in the top 500, while it ranked No. 103 in 2013. This is the tenth time for SAIC to be listed in the top 500 while the first for the top 100.

In the first half of 2014, SAIC"s vehicle sales increase continue to be higher than the market average, with vehicle sales of 2.861 million units from Jan to June, an increase of 11.57% on last year, which hit an all-time high.


SAIC released a new generation of powertrain system CUBE-TECH, which is the achievement of SAIC"s Independent research and development and the joint development with General Motors. With CUBE-TECH, SAIC became the first Chinese vehicle manufacturer who has made joint development in core technology like powertrain and share intellectual property with international auto enterprises worldwide.


In the first half of 2014, SAIC"s plug-in hybrid car Rongwei 550 PLUG-IN launched the market. Taking the opportunity of the fast growing new energy bus market, Shanghai Sunwin released competitive products gained a total sales of more than 1200 units of hybrid buses, distance-enhancing buses and pure electric buses from Jan to June.


In overseas business, periodical results in Southeast Asia market have been achieved in the first half of 2014. In the meanwhile, SAIC Middle East company and South America company have been registered in Dubai and Santiago and started operation.
