In the morning of 11th July Foton Automobile revealed on the investors interactive platform that it has won an order of 3,012 LNG buses from Beijing Public Transport Holdings, Ltd. (BPT) and those buses has gradually start operation. Up to the report, Foton AUV has taken 30-40% of bus fleet in Beijing public transport. In addition, the company has recently signed an agreement of 40 air-conditioned buses with Qinhuangdao Public Transport, and the order is to be fulfilled towards the end of July this year.
According to Foton Automobile, the sales volume of the new energy buses including clean energy powered buses in 2013 goes over 3,100, among which there are over 2,800 LNG buses, 160 hybrid buses, and 90 pure electric buses. The sales volume of the new energy buses including clean energy powered buses in the firs half of 2014 goes beyond 2,700, among which there are over 2,500 LNG buses, 170 hybrid buses, and 20 pure electric buses.
