According to news from Foton Automobile on 14th July, it has signed a sales contract of 40 AUV hybrid buses with Qinhuangdao Public Transport Co., Ltd.
The policy from the government and the demand from the customers together accelerate the development of new energy bus business. According to sources, Foton-Daimler signed a sales contract of 500 Auman LNG heavy trucks with Taian Special Vehicle Co., Ltd Hi-tech Zone Branch in Feburary 2014. Foton Automobile won the bidding of Qingdao Municipal Government Procurement Project in March 2014 and would provide 50 Foton AUV pure electric buses for Qingdao Public Transport Group. In June 2014 it signed a sales contract of 150 MiDi pure electric buses with Beijing Huaixingwang Electric Minibus Rental Co., Ltd. Then it signed a sales contract of 71 AUV hybrid buses with Beijing Jinruicheng Auto Sales Co., Ltd. As the advancement of the promotion of new energy buses in China in 2014, Foton is expected to win more orders, which will surely speed up the development of new energy buses.
