On Jul. 17, a panel of experts was organized by the Hi-tech Center of China"s Ministry of Science and Technology made an evaluation of integration project of key technologies and systems of electric vehicle (first phase) and industrialization of Foton AUV medium hybrid vehicles. The comprehensive evaluation consists of listening to reports, reading the related materials, expert inquiries. In the end, after several rounds of discussions, the panel unanimously agreed that Foton has successfully accompalished the project.
According to Foton, adopting parallel hybrid power system and 3.8L Foton Cummins diesel engine, a new vehicle was independently developed with 6 AMT auto transimission gearbox. In addition, the automatic clutch was mounted between the engine and the motor.
In line with the national subsidy policies and the new development trend of new energy vehicles, the new vehicle also uses required batteries and motors. The maximum power of the motor reaches 150kW with a torque of 650 Nm. The battery package, with four battery boxes on two sides and their interfaces for fast battery recharging, reaches 45kWh in power.
In the future, in an effort to promote the industrialization of electric vehicles, Foton will further speed up its research and development work of the three key technologies, including whole vehicle electric control, battery management system and motor controller.
