On Sept. 2, 100 units Zhongtong gas-electric hybrid buses were officially put into operation in Liaocheng, Shandong. On the ceremony to mark the occasion, Wang Zhonglin, Mayor of Liaocheng announced the offical operation of the new energy buses in the city. Ren Xiaowang and Hong Yuzhen, Vice Mayor of Liaocheng, Li Shupeng, President of Zhongtong Bus, and Sun Qingmin, General Manager of the bus maker as well as other officials attended the event.

According to the bus maker, all 100 units plug-in hybrid buses are Zhongtong Fengcai series, which is 10.5 meters in length. As a matured fist product highly recommended by Zhongtong, the bus model is particularly competitive in price and boasts high fuel economy. After the announcement made by the mayor Wang Zhonglin, Liaocheng city has officially kicked off its construction of urban green public transport, representing a major step forward for building of the eco-friendly city.
