From Sept. 1 to 4, UN the Third Small Island Developing Countries International Conference was held at Apia, the capital city of Samoa, an island country in Pacific. About 4,500 representatives from a number of countries and regions across the globe attended the conference discussing the sustainable development of small island countries. Fifteen Zhongtong luxury buses, as Chinese government’s aids to Samoa, were designated as the official vehicles for the event, delivering satisfactory transportation services for all participants.
In early 2014, Chinese government decided to send a batch of luxury buses as special aids to Samoa, assisting the small island nation to hold a UN meeting on the development of small islands. Zhongtong buses, after going through severe competition, finally won the bid and became the official vehicle for the UN meeting held on the island.
On May 2, 2014, a grand ceremony was held at Apia International Port to mark the delivery of aid materials provided by China. Over 200 Samoa government officials attended the ceremony to welcome the fifteen units Zhongtong buses and other aid materials from China.
After the delivery, Zhongtong sent some experienced engineers to the nation to ensure the smooth operation of its bus fleet. Right before the meeting, the bus maker sent another batch of after-sale service personnel to make full preparations. The high reliability of Zhogtong buses and the superb after-sales services have helped the bus maker win favorable feedbacks from customers.
