The Turkish bus manufacturer Bozankaya will introduce its new electric bus to the rest of the world during the coming IAA in Hannover, Germany. According to Bozankaya its E-Bus is one step ahead in terms of energy consumption, environmental awareness and efficiency. The manufacturing of the E-Bus, whose accumulator system has been developed by the company’s German engineering centre Bozankaya GmbH, is undertaken by Bozankaya Inc.
The plug-in electrically driven (accumulator) E-Bus which launched by Bozankaya, offers many advantages like being environmentally friendly, quiet, economical and efficient. The inner-city bus has a length of 10.7 m, an ultra low floor and a seating capacity for 25 passenger. A quick pick-up and drop-off is ensured thanks to its three doors.
The E-Bus provides an action radius of around 200 km thanks to 200 kWh accumulators, which are chemically based on a lithium yttrium ion mixture. By fitting additional batteries the action radius can be lengthened.
The Bozankaya E-Bus is fitted with safety systems like EBS and ECAS, and further a tilting steering wheel, pre-heater, speed controlled servo steering etc. The batteries can be charged in charging stations at the end of a route, or can be plugged-in into a 380V grid.
