According to the company, its plug-in hybrid buses had officially joined the bus fleet of Changzhou Public Transport since Jan. this year. Compared with a 12-meter normal bus, Higer eco-friendly vehicle cut fuel consumption by 30%. On average, a bus often travels 5,000 km per month, which means Higer hybrid bus is capable of helping its operators save 1,400 RMB in fuel costs. According to Changzhou Public Transport, its fuel costs account for about 45% of its total costs every year. Once its bus fleet is fully replaced by Higer hybrid buses, the company can significantly cut its total operating costs. In other places as well, Higer plug-in new energy bus, traveling 100 km, only consumes less than 60% of oil when compared with other normal buses operating on the same routes. Moreover, Higer oil-electric hybrid bus reduces PM2.5 by over 90% and its gas-electric bus has realized zero emission of PM2.5.
