In Sept. 2014, Golden Dragon delivered an impressive performance. In earlier that month, the company signed a sales contract for 30 units electric buses with Fuzhou Public Transport and Kangchi Bus. At the end of the month, 10 coaster electric buses ordered by Xiamen Public Transport Group went into production. As of the middle of October, a total number of 200 plug-in hybrid buses measuring 10.5 meters long have been put into official operation in Nanning, Sanya and Tianjin. Later this month, 12-meter aluminum electric buses made by Golden Dragon will arrive in Netherlands to serve the local citizens. What’s more, the 12-meter electric buses have already made their appearance in Taiwan. In no more than two months, nearly 400 units new energy buses made by Golden Dragon have been put on the road both at home and abroad, representing a new milestone in the development history of Golden Dragon.

All the achievements made by Golden Dragon, especially those abroad, fully demonstrate the company’s overall strength and competitiveness in the industry. According to Zhang Ruhui, “Customers from Taiwan are particularly well informed of electric buses. Their technologies in this field are now ahead of ours. For this reason, customers prefer their local vehicles. However, they made several field investigations in Chinese mainland and paid a special visit to our sample vehicle in Shenzhen. After a thorough comparison, they finally concluded that our vehicles are superior to those made in Taiwan and then they started placing orders on us.”

Currently, governments are various levels are showing great supports to new energy vehicle development, which makes Golden Dragon more confident about its future. Having been involved in this promising area for nearly a decade, Golden Dragon has accumulated rich experience in both management and R&D of new energy vehicles. To date, the bus maker has rolled out six major energy-saving technologies and seven electric drivelines together with customer-tailored production and service solutions.
