On Nov. 5, Ankai successfully won the bid for providing 40 units of mini electric buses for Beijing Public Transport Group, representing a new milestone for the bus maker for its expansion in the capital market.
Measuring a little over six meters in length, Ankai mini electric bus is particularly designed as a community transport solution. Boasting extraordinarily fashionable exterior and interior, the vehicle is specially agile on the road. With one-step low-floor access, the bus is extremely helpful for the old, the physically challenged and the very young to board. In addition, it can be recharged in as fast as twenty minutes or about one hour at most, which perfectly suits the varied operation needs.
With uniquely semi-load-bearing structure and integrated body structure and chassis, Ankai mini electric bus is 8-13% lighter in weight compared with other vehicles of the same length. Thus, it manages to cut energy consumption by another 4-7%. For driving 100 km, it only needs less than 60Kwh. The 40 new eco-friendly mini electric buses from Ankai will soon join Beijing green bus fleet to help the capital combat the increasingly severe air pollution.
As one of the megacities in China, Beijing is now making a great effort to solve the traveling problems for citizens living in super-large communities. This year, the city is planning to open 20 mini-circulation bus routes to further optimize its public transport system. In the next three years, the capital will replace its current oil-powered bus fleet on 50 routes with the environmentally-friendly electric buses. The six-meter mini electric buses, distance-enhancing electric buses and diesel-powered buses will all play a significant role for reducing the vehicle emissions in the city. The entry of Ankai mini electric buses has laid for solid foundation for the bus maker’s future expansion and is also believed to generate exemplary effects for its nationwide market.
