Roman government is on the plan to lease hundreds of new buses from China to upgrade the capital"s transport system which is operated in poor condition currently. The Capital"s Transport Councillor Guido Improta said to Italy media that a Chines bus manufacture have the intention in cooperation, which whom Roman government have been discussing the issues of bus leasing, the number of which is expected to achieve one third of the whole number of buses operated in Rome right now.
According to Guido Improta, due to lack of fund, a number of operators are faced bankruptcy, thus of the 2300 units of buses in Rome, only 1700 units are in operation, 200 of which are in the potential of urgent repair.
