2015 Urban Walking Festival, the first of its kind in China, which was jointly organized by Xiamen King Long United Automotive Industry Co., Ltd. (hereafter refers to as King Long), China Media Culture Promotion Association Sports Committee and WISDOM Group, officially kicked off at Ganen Square, Wuyuan Bay, Xiamen on the morning of Apr. 18.
As a key public sports event across the nation in 2015, the festival will cover 33 cities across China. According to the schedule, the festival will hold a number of public activities with different themes in different cities. In the end, the routes taken by all participants will show the English words “CHINADREAM” on the map. In addition, the most beautiful part of the each city will be chosen as the venue of the activity with the length of about five to ten kilometers. In doing so, the organizers aim to further unite people of various ethnic groups and deepen their understanding of “Chinese Dream.”
Xiamen, as the starting point of this national festival, has sent vehicles to provide transportation services and also donated footballs with the logo of King Long to many schools. Such efforts are made to show the bus maker’s commitment to fulfill its social responsibilities as a corporate entity.

Xiamen, situated along the coast of Southeast China, has been taking the lead for China’s Green Public Transport Drive. In the process, King Long, as an indigenous enterprise, has been providing strong technological supports for the city’s construction of green urban transportation. It is revealed that a batch of King Long new energy buses has been recently put into operation on the bus routes No. 651 and No. 118, providing more green travel choices for the local citizens.
