According to Jiao Yonghong, President of Gansu Hongyuan Tourist Investment Company, Dunhuang received 5.07 million tourists in 2014. Even in its low season winter and spring time, 1.1 million visitors visited the city.
In an effort to build “Yangguan Gate-Yumenguan Gate-Yardang” scenic area on the Westside, Hongyuan Tourism Company was set up in April last year. Nowadays, nearly 40 Golden Dragon buses have been put into operation for tourist transportation. As the city is located in the desert, it enjoys a lot of sunshine the whole year around but expects little rain. Moreover, it is quite windy with the maximum wind force reaching 12. Such harsh weather conditions set much higher standards for vehicles. Providing a series travel comforts and boasting high safety standards and environmental friendliness, Golden Dragon bus fleet is readily available to provide the best quality services for all passengers.
