On June 7, 2015, Dongfeng Xiangyang Traveling Car Company, a subsidy of DFAC, rolled out 27 units 12-meter electric city buses and 15 units 10-meter hybrid city buses which are to be delivered to Lhasa Public Transport Company.
According to data, by the end of May 2015, Dongfeng Xiangyang has received new energy vehicle order of over 7,000 units, much more than last year"s 1,157 units.
Funded by Xiangyang government and supported by enterprises who stand by new energy buses, The Academy of Sciences of China and Tsinghua University, 200 patents have been acquired. Dongfeng Tianyi electric buses have been developed to the fourth generation, with annual output of 30,000 units. The electric powertrain sysytem for new energy vehicles co-developed by Xiangyang Yuqing Technology Co., Ltd. and Tsinghua University offers effective solution for core technics of new energy vehicle battery management and power supply distribution.
