Officially launched in Aug. last year, the competition takes full consideration of several aspects of bus makers, such as innovation capacity, innovative services, profitability, corporate responsibility and roles in the bus industry. After eight months strenuous research and evaluation, Zhongtong finally stood out.

As a shareholding company, Zhongtong successfully went on Shenzhen Securities Exchange on Jan. 13, 2000 and became the first few bus makers in China which went public. As a pillar in China’s bus making industry, Zhongtong boasts a long history. Over four decades of business operation has helped the company accumulate rich experience in the field of bus manufacturing. On the back of its superior technological strength, state-level technological innovation center, post-PHD working stations, state-of-art laboratory certified by the national government, Zhongtong has so far established close cooperative ties with a number of well-renowned universities and research centers. In doing so, it is fully committed to the development of safer and more energy-saving buses. To date, it has received nearly 100 patents and has participated in the making of ten national standards. Moreover, it has won over 30 prizes both from home and abroad, pushing China’s bus making industry to another new height.

Nowadays, Zhongtong devotes itself to innovation and development. By introducing some state-of-art bus manufacturing technologies from Europe, the company has independently developed a series of buses, measuring 5.5 to 18 meters in length and covering a whole spectrum of all bus products, including urban city buses, intercity buses, travel coaches, school buses. With eight series and over 140 varieties, Zhongtong is highly competitive and has won wide market recognition. While well received in the domestic market, Zhongtong has already made its way into over 80 countries and regions across the globe. Currently, Zhongtong clean fuel powered buses and school buses have become the leading brand in a number of regions in China. In addition, its new energy buses have already been applied commercially in a number of areas, helping governments cut emissions and bus operators achieve better performances economically.
