On July 9, 2015, the first batch of Asiastar electric buses are delivered to Jiangsu Yangzhou Lvdong New Energy Company. Officials from Yangzhou municipal government, Lvdong New Energy Company and Asiastar attend the handover ceremony held in Asiastar plant.
Buses delivered are Asiastar YBL6117HBEV electric buses which are to be the first batch of electric buses operated in Yangzhou. Accordingly, the batch of buses will be operated for commute transportation for staff working in the Industrial Park and as shuttle buses for all sorts of large meetings.
Besides being environmentally friendly, Asiastar YBL6117HBEV electric bus is also featuring for the light-weight and waterproof design. According to statistics, YBL6117HBEV is 500 kg lighter than buses of the same level that it is able to running for more 30 km when equipped with the same battery. YBL6117HBEV is able to run 150 kilometers after being recharged for 2.5 hours.
Considering the specific weather conditions in the city that frequent rainstorm occurs, Asiastar has made all electric components waterproof.
