According to information from Shanghai City Economy and Information Committee, 14547 new energy vehicles were registered in the first half year this year, up 888% over last year"s 1473 units, hitting history record high. And this can be attributed to citizens" green transports and the policy for free plate fees of new energy vehicles, and most importantly, Shanghai Electric Auto Recharging Infrastructure Construction Regulation will be implemented since July 1st, which rules that personal car users have to install recharging pot and then they can get free plate for new energy cars. In addition, the subsidy policy for new energy cars will end in June.
Among the 14547 newly registered new energy vehicles, 10661 units are plug-in hybrid cars, 3886 units are pure electric cars, and 9434 of which are owned by personal users, and 5113 units were bought by companies, and 42 pure electric city buses, and 200 plug-in city buses, 689 pure electric commuting buses, and 98 pure electric tourism coaches and 97 pure electric logistics vehicles and 54 pure electric sanitation cars.
