On July 16, 200 units Zhongtong new energy buses started official operation in Liaocheng, Shandong Province. At the delivery ceremony, Ren Xiaowang, vice mayor of Liaocheng city made a keynote speech, stressing the city government’s determination to replace traditional buses with eco-friendly buses across the city. A number of officials from various municipal governments also attended the ceremony.
The uniquely fashionable exterior design, passenger-friendly interior and a host of travel comforts of Zhongtong new energy buses have greatly impressed all leaders attending the ceremony.
In 2014, Liaocheng made a heavy investment and bought its first batch of 100 units plug-in hybrid buses measuring 10.5 meters in length. Thanks to their stable performance, the city bought the same type of the bus this year, increasing the purchase volume to 200 units. After their arrival, Zhongtong new energy buses will be put on two new bus routes and be added the current bus fleet of another 15 bus routes.
Zhongtong plug-in hybrid buses bought by Liaocheng this year boast even higher energy efficiency and greater performance-price ratio. With optimized electronic announcing board and accurate GPS and synchronized station announcement, passengers on Zhongtong buses are able to travel with more ease and comforts. In addition, a super large advertisement board is mounted at the rear of the bus, providing more added values for bus operators.
The arrival of 200 Zhongtong plug-in hybrid buses this year also ushers a new era of green public transport in Liaocheng city.
