As Chinese government pushing forward the promotion of new energy buses, Xuchang, a city of Henan Province, recently has purchased 150 units of full electric city buses which are to start operation soon. The first batch of 50 units are already delivered.
All the 150 buses are from Chinese leading bus manufacturer Yutong. Measuring 6.4 meters in length, the bus can be fully recharged in 90 minutes. Mounted with 34 seats for passengers, the bus is able to drive over 100 km continuously, boasting higher level of environmental friendliness, energy efficiency and ride comfort with fuel cost of only about 0.5 RMB/km, 50% lower than traditional natural gas powered buses.
The 150 units of Yutong full electric buses are believed to provide more convenient and more environmentally friendly transport services for the local citizens. The arrival of such a formidable Yutong electric bus fleet will greatly improve the Xuchang city’s public transport.
