On Sept. 30, 600 units Zhongtong V6 electric buses were delivered to Linyi, Shandong Province for official operation.
A road test shows that Zhongtong V6 only consumes 0.4 kilowatt / hour electricity every one kilometer. Suppose the price is one RMB per one kilowatt / hour electricity, the operating cost of Zhongtong per kilometer is only 0.4 RMB, which is way below a fuel-powered bus. Given its high energy efficiency, Linyi Public Transport Group thus placed the largest order of electric buses in 2015 across the nation.
According to Zhongtong, V6 electric buses have claimed a sales volume of over 4,000 units in China this year. Apart from successfully making its presence in all 17 cities in Shandong Province, Zhongtong V6 has also made its way to Guangdong, Hebei, Henan, Tianjin, Liaoning, Hubei, etc. It has obviously become a top choice for the public transport in relatively small cities and towns as well as the mini-circulation public transport in big cities across China.
Apart from purchasing 600 electric buses, Linyi Public Transport Group also bought 70 units Zhongtong LCK6106PHENV plug-in hybrid buses. With plug-in co-axle parallel connection, the bus is high in operating stability, strong in driving uphill and high in energy efficiency. It is able to cut energy consumption by over 50% and effectively reduce the emission of carbon dioxide and PM2.5. Thus, Zhongtong LCK6106PHENV plug-in hybrid bus has become a classic model in China among those buses measuring over 10 meters in length. According to the bus maker, the 70 buses will also be delivered to its customer within this year.
