In the mid of November, 30 units Youngman 18-meter buses specially designed for BRT routes in Urumqi were successfully delivered to its customer. After their arrival in China’s northwest Xinjiang Autonomous Region, they will join the city’s BRT bus fleet to further ease the passenger flow during the rush hour in Urumqi city.
Currently, over 300 buses are operating smoothly on a number of BRT routes in Urumqi, playing a pillar role in the city’s public transport system.
“Youngman buses boast a domineering appearance and they immediately become an eye-catcher when driving on the road. Their elegant interior design always offers passengers a luxurious feel. Moreover, they are highly maneuverable and exceptionally strong in power,” Zhou Qili, a person-in-charge from Urumqi Public Transport Company.
According to Urumqi Public Transport Company, Youngman buses, which are now operating in the city, measure 12-meter and 18-meter in length and are powered by natural gas or traditionally fuels. Among these buses, the 45 units natural gas powered Youngman buses with a bullet head are particularly popular among the general public.
