According to the latest statistics about the number of certificate of approval, China rolled out 50,700 units new energy vehicles in October this year, which is eight times that of the production volume in the same month last year. In the meantime, China manufactured 21,700 units electric passenger vehicles, which is 7.5 times more than that produced last year in October. China rolled out 7,028 units plug-in hybrid passenger vehicles in October, up by 200% year on year. The production volume of the first five batches of new energy vehicles made in China and listed on the catalogue of new energy vehicles which are exempt from vehicle purchasing tax reached 46,100 units, accounting for 91% of the total production volume of the new energy vehicles in October.


From January to October this year, China rolled out 206,900 units new energy vehicles, which are four times the production volume registered in the same period last year. In the same period, China made 87,100 units electric passenger vehicles, up by 300% year on year. In addition, the nation rolled out 45,500 units plug-in hybrid passenger vehicles, up by 300% year on year. China"s production volume of electric commercial vehicles reached 59,300 units from January to October, up by 900% year on year while the country"s production volume of plug-in hybrid commercial vehicles stood at 15,000 units, up by 88% year on year.
