Zhongtong Rolls Out AMT High-end Electric Coaches

Zhongtong applied its well-developed electric bus technologies to its electric travel coaches. Currently, it boasts five series electric travel coaches, namely V6K, V8K, V10K, V11K, and V12K. In October this year, the whole spectrum of fourteen bus and coach products were listed among the 53rd batch of high-end buses released by China’s Ministry of Transport.

According to the statistics released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China manufactured 156,200 new energy vehicles from January to September this year, up by nearly 300%. In the meantime, the production volume of electric passenger vehicles reached 65,500 units, which is three times the number registered in the same period last year; the production volume of plug-in hybrid passenger vehicles totaled 38,500 units, which is four times the size registered in the same period last year; the production volume of electric commercial vehicles stood at 39,700 units, up by nearly 700% year on year; the production volume of plug-in hybrid commercial vehicles totaled 12,600 units, up by 75% year on year. The above figures clearly show that China’s new energy vehicle industry has entered a fast-growing track.

 


With a sensitive eye on the market demands, Zhongtong launched a thorough investigation and research on new energy buses in 2014. Zhongtong High-end Electric Bus V10K Makes its Debut.


On October 22, Zhongtong held a grand ceremony at Beijing National Convention Center to mark the release of its AMT high-end electric buses. As a representative model of the whole series of AMT electric travel coaches, V10K also made its debut. Chiefly targeted at governments, large corporations, intercity passenger transport, and tourist transportation, V10K is capable of driving a distance of 250 km to 300 km every day. Depending on customers’ special needs, the vehicle has two battery storages available, one of which is 172 kW•h and the other is 188 kW•h. In addition, the vehicle can be recharged at a predetermined time and through fast and slow recharging modes. Ideal for transportation of passengers traveling to different cities, the coach only consumes 0.45 kW•h electricity every kilometer when driving on the suburban areas. With a superb continuous driving capacity, V10K is certainly the King of Endurance in the electric bus world.   

 


Sun Qingmin, General Manager of Zhongtong Bus, Huang Yuqiang, General Manager of Zaozhuang Public Transport Company, as well as journalists from various media attended the ceremony. At the ceremony, Mr. Sun also spoke in details about the business performance of his company in 2015.
